There are so many opinions out there on what the word “Gospel” means to people.
Some associate it with a genre of music. Others think its a legalistic stuff old church term that’s outdated and irrelevant. Sometimes it’s used in common slang, such as “ain’t that the Gospel-truth!” However, the word simply means “Good News”. It is the Good News that God has provided the means for our salvation through the life, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Yet, the Gospel isn’t just some private belief that only affects individual believers. It also has a cosmic scope that encompasses all of reality and helps us make sense of our world and gives us hope for the future.
In this episode we expore some of the common misconceptions and misunderstandings about the Gospel and salvation, and then take a look at what the Bible says. In doing so, we seek correction and clarity on this most important of issues – because getting the Gospel wrong has major implications both in this life and eternity!
